In 1949 Dick Riedel and Bill Barris of Fullerton Air Service piloted Aeronca Sedan "Sunkist Lady" into the endurance flight record books by staying aloft 1,008. They were welcomed home in a grand parade down Commonewealth Avenue and up Spadra Road.
